Find the simple percentage return on an investment, without turning it into a yearly figure.
Divides the gain by the initial investment.
Return %: (Final − Initial) ÷ Initial × 100
What's the difference between absolute return and CAGR?
Absolute return ignores time. A 30% return over 1 year and a 30% return over 10 years show the same absolute return, but they are very different in terms of yearly performance. CAGR shows the answer per year instead.
